About Rachel | Founder, Esthetician, and cultivator of beauty inside and out
I have always been inspired by connectedness between beauty found in nature and within eachother. Through my faith and nature, I developed as an artist, through my work as a musician, writer/author, makeup artist and esthetician. Working throughout decades in the beauty industry, from cosmetic counters, traveling as a makeup artist for film and print, transforming complexions at spas, and worldwide brand and product consulting. All of this established me as a trusted voice in the beauty industry. Each and every experience added to my expertise, and furthered my calling to open LORDE, sharing what I have learned and created, for you to enjoy your magnificent beauty with confidence and joy.
About Matthew | Designer and Creator
When creating LORDE, my husband, Matthew who is a designer and creator asked what I wanted the architecture and design of LORDE to be. I told him I wanted it to feel like a light filled, open place, to remind each and every person that they are a reflection of this light. From there he designed LORDE, creating every thoughtful inch of the space, down to how the sun and shadows fell softly during facials, the sculptures and art from our personal collection adding to your restful experience at LORDE. Today Matthew is an integral part of creative direction, and evolution of the current and future offerings, ensuring you feel this calm presence, intention, minimalist and modern beauty throughout. Matthew is an incredible designer, builder, and creative who knows how to evoke feeling in spaces. Hints of belongingness, nature, clean lines, modern structural elements, vintage art and furniture he curates and builds, are his signature.
About Silas | User Experience Designer
Silas joined LORDE in 2021. An ambitious and motivated student at University of Michigan, Silas is establishing himself as an industrial designer. He is an artist of sculpture and concept, and a music producer; who utilizes his keen sense of design to improve the user experience of the online site at LORDE. Silas strives to understand and sympathize with the users of the products he designs as well as the online implementations at LORDE through meticulous research and iteration.
